Farming Question
So I started playing this game when it first game out, however many years ago that was. Back then, the main types of farming I did was griffon farming and UW/FOW farming. As of now, a month into the game, I have a lvl 20 W/Mo a lvl 20 D/W.
Right now I do all my farming on Griffons, but unlike the last time I did this, they aren't dropping anything valuable. Each run takes about 4 minutes and I kill anywhere from 7-16 griffons. They used to drop golds/purples and other valuable items back in the day but now all they drop is wings and blue items. I make about 300g a run, if I'm lucky.
Are there any other good W/Mo farming locations that I don't know of? I've been away for a long time so I'm sure there's tons.
By the way, I've done a fair amount of Factions, none of Nightfalls or EOTN, and I'm at the 2nd to last mission in Prophecies if that helps.
Thanks

The reason why the Griffons aren't dropping as much as they used to is because of loot scaling.
There are still many other ways to farm.

I'd guess you aren't farming them in Hard Mode. Drops are significantly better when you are in Hard Mode. Loot Scaling doesn't answer the question of golds though. Gold weapons/armor and collectible drops like thier wings are not affected by Loot Scaling. They will drop less of the white, blue, and purple items, but not the golds.

This.
I used to do exactly the same Griffon farm with my Wammo back in the first few months of GW but its pointless now.
Over the this holiday weekend I farmed Raptors with my Derv and got 3 stacks each of pies and ciders (sold for ~200k), 5 black dyes, 2 elemental swords, a dozen lockpicks and about 150 golds drop. I was especially surprised at the blacks myself. I've gotten like 2 in 1000hrs on my Derv, then 5 this weekend... wth ..

also I vaguely remember something about a nerfed drop rate on griffons and the droks trolls and such way back when...
and about those black dyes, in about the same time as you (1000hr.) I have seen 2 drop ever. and both didnt happen until this year, both were in eotn, both during nm runs of blood washes blood. go figure.

raptor farm is one of the most popular farms theses days, your best bet is to do that with your derv, check for the build in the farming forum.

Keg farming is another option. I farmed enough to only obtain one stack of each of pies and ciders, but as a result, I also received 4 black dyes and 3 white dyes not including the golds, lockpicks, and glacial stones.
But for Warriors, I believe the VwK W/Rt build is still viable for farming smites in UW.

you also might want to try farming something that drops a collectable item during a festival like Ornate Grawl neckleses. There are special traders during festival weekends and you trade X amount of the item for 1 festival item that you can then sell for 150 gold each or 37,500 gold for a stack of goodies.
I was doing this with Prefect Charr Carvings while gaining ranks in my GW:EN titles that way I was working on titles and gaining in my gold count.
Just an idea
